Nothing like finding yourself reexamining the timeless designs of periods past. I compiled a glass and crystal edit to inspire, highlight some pieces that feel really relevant at the moment, and help you find them yourself!

Sourcing
In the design world, Art Deco is having a moment. I only like to take what resonates for me with trends—same goes with fashion—and leave what doesn’t. There are a ton of incredible pieces on sites like eBay snd Etsy, made by designers of the time or similar reproductions/styles. I’m really inspired by the beauty of French Art Deco glass, starting with vintage Lalique—known for finishes like opalescence and frosting.
An auction house’s Lalique guide for reference: Bonhams Lalique Guide. Always do your due diligence when buying!
Diving a bit deeper, Pierre D’Avesn was one of Rene Lalique’s protégés, who also designed for Daum, a famous crystal studio in Nancy, France. There are a wide array of his pieces—and pieces made for Daum (even more so) available at different price points.

This is a great formula for finding incredible vintage pieces at the best prices. Take a well-known design house, find the name of the designers of key/original pieces. Then check if they had a protégé and the name/location of the factories their work was produced in. Take that to eBay and voilà, many a rabbit hole for you to travel down!

Styling Extra Credit
I’ve been loving the look of glass catch-alls with some heft atop vintage art books, which feels lived-in and luxurious. Maybe they’re holding matchbooks collected from your favorite restaurants or a pretty hand lotion. Glass doesn’t visually overwhelm a space and in return adds a subtle sparkle. A mix of materials is the key to a nuanced, collected space. Pairing it with other textures is magic key to add that juxtaposition.
